自己管理とチームの構造、そのバランスの中で彼女はどんな日々を送り、どんな考え方で成長し続けているのでしょうか。

今回は、ルーティンやメンタル、そして「成長し続けること」について話を聞きました。

 

AG1: 自己管理の生活からチームに入って、一番大変だったことは?逆に、意外と良かったと感じたことはありますか?

ローザ・クレーザー:
今はグラベルではプライベーター、ロードではWorldTourチームの一員として活動しています。このバランスは私にとって理想的で、自分でマネジメントできる自由もありながら、チームから多くを学べています。

AG1: 戦術や機材、身体のことなど、深く理解したいという気持ちがあると思います。どこを最適化すべきか、どう判断していますか?

ローザ:
トライ&エラーです。残念ながら近道はありません。

AG1: ルーティンは制限だと感じる人もいますが、あなたにとっては違うようですね。どんな役割を持っていますか?

ローザ:
アスリートとして、ルーティンは土台のようなものだと感じています。毎日いろいろなことが変わる中で、ルーティンがあることで安心できますし、自分が正しい方向に進んでいると感じられます。

AG1: 長時間のレースではメンタルも重要です。どのようにエネルギーを保っていますか?

ローザ:
科学者としての経験が役立っていると思います。どんなプロジェクトも一直線には進みません。遠回りもありますし、思い通りにいかないことも多いです。大切なのは、順調に進むことではなく、難しい状況でも続けることだと思っています。

AG1: 忙しい日々の中でも、これだけは欠かせないという“基本”は何ですか?

ローザ:
健康と食事は最優先です。必要な栄養をしっかり摂ることも含めて、そこが整っていることで、競技に集中できます。

AG1: 判断が多くなる中で、あえて考えないようにしていることはありますか?

ローザ:
特に移動が多い日にはルーティンが助けになります。以前はたくさんのサプリメントを持ち歩くのがストレスでしたが、今はシンプルな仕組みに任せています。

AG1: 科学者としてのバックグラウンドは、今の競技にどう活きていますか?

ローザ:
好奇心と、何かに夢中になれる力です。新しいレースやコースにも積極的に挑戦したいと思えます。

AG1: 今のあなたにとって「自由」とは何ですか?

ローザ:
新しい場所に行き、いろいろな人に出会うことです。

AG1: 「成長し続けること」について、どんな考えを持っていますか?

ローザ:
そのためには情熱が欠かせないと思います。自分がやっていることを本当に好きであること、それが一番大切です。

AG1: トレーニング中や朝に音楽は聴きますか?

ローザ:
よく聴きます。「Leave Me Alone」(Fred again..)や「Shyne」(Travis Scott)など、UKラップが好きです。

AG1: 一人で集中する時間と、チームのエネルギー。どちらが好きですか?

ローザ:
状況によりますが、レース直前の最後の1分は一人で過ごすのが好きです。

AG1: 甘いものとしょっぱいもの、どちら派ですか?また、よく食べるものは?

ローザ:
甘いものが好きです。場所によって変わりますが、デンマークにいたときはシナモンロール、アンドラではドゥルセ・デ・レチェのクロワッサンが好きでした。

AG1: 好きな天候、苦手な天候はありますか?

ローザ:
暑い気候は好きです。高温でもパフォーマンスを維持しやすいと感じています。霧雨はあまり好きではありません。

AG1: 気持ちをリセットしたいときは、どうしていますか?

ローザ:
リカバリーブーツを使って、温かいココアを飲みます。

AG1: 以前の生活で恋しいものはありますか?

ローザ:
同僚や学生との時間です。教えたり、コーヒーブレイクで話したりする時間が好きでした。

AG1: チームに入って感じた“意外な良さ”はありますか?

ローザ:
トレーニングキャンプでのサポートカーです。特に雨の日に途中で着替えられるのは、とてもありがたいです。
